Kundalini Is Not a Goal

In recent years I have received more and more messages from people describing intense energetic experiences in their bodies. Many of them suspect that something like a kundalini activation may have taken place.
Some have attended retreats.
Some have received shaktipat.
Some have taken large doses of shamanic medicine.
Others have participated in intensive meditation, breathwork, or workshops inspired by teachers such as Joe Dispenza.
And some have practiced techniques from kundalini yoga or similar traditions.
These practices can be powerful tools for personal growth. They can open the heart, deepen awareness, and help people reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways.
But sometimes something else happens.
Kundalini can become activated before the body and nervous system are fully prepared for the process.
When that happens, the experience can be far more challenging than many expect. Kundalini is not a gentle concept or a poetic metaphor. It is a powerful life force that moves through the entire system — physically, emotionally, mentally, and energetically.
The body and nervous system need time to adapt to that intensity.
If the process unfolds too quickly, people may experience symptoms such as:
– nervous system overstimulation
– sleep disturbances
– emotional and mental instability
– unusual physical sensations they cannot explain
This does not necessarily mean something is “wrong.” But it may mean that the system needs more time, grounding, and support than what is often discussed in spiritual environments.
This is why I believe it is important to be very clear about the intention we bring into these practices.
Ask yourself:
Am I here to grow as a human being?
Or am I here trying to awaken kundalini?
For me, the answer is clear.
I strongly recommend not approaching spiritual practices with the goal of forcing a kundalini awakening.
This energy is not something we need to chase. It is part of our natural life force, and it tends to awaken when the body, psyche, and nervous system are ready to hold it.
And when that moment comes, it will happen regardless of our plans.
Awakening is not a performance project.
It is a process of maturation.
Sometimes slow.
Sometimes intense.
But always deeply personal.
Most of us do not need more techniques to push the process forward. What we often need instead is stability, honesty, and a gradual deepening of awareness.
Kundalini is not a goal. It is a consequence of inner development. And when the time is right, this force will awaken on its own.
